• Carbomer934 is a white and loose powder. It offers excellent stability in medium and high viscosities and provides excellent formulations for opaque, emulsified, frosting, and suspended applications.
• Carbomer 974 is a benzene-free type of Carbomer 934, which is widely used in pharmaceutical (ointment) formulations and cosmetic creams.

1. Appearance

• Fluffy and moisture-absorbent white powder with a slight odor; The pH value of a 1% aqueous solution is 3.

2. Solubility

• It is soluble in water, ethanol and glycerol, and can neutralize alkaline solutions of hydroxides or amines.

3. Identification features

• A gel is formed after neutralizing the dispersion.
• The 1% dispersion turns orange when reacting with thymol blue solution.
• The 1% dispersion turns yellow when reacting with cresol red solution.

4. Viscosity
